Netkite and SHAMS ENPI Projects Organized the First ETM in Jordan

 netkite etmNetkite and SHAMS ENPI Projects organized the first Electronic Town Meeting (ETM) in Jordan on Dec. 11, 2014 in the Nanotechnology Center at Jordan University of Science and Technology. The theme of the ETM was on Renewable Energy (RE) in Jordan. More than 60 participants, representing Research Institutions, Governmental Bodies, Educational Institutions, NGOs, Private Sector, Young Researchers, etc., participated in this event. Prof. Suhil Kiwan from JUST introduced the Netkite project, Eng. Mohammad Alamoush, CEO of Al Urdinia Lil Ebda, introduced SHAMS project, Prof. Adel Mourtada presented the Energy Situation in Jordan, and Mr. Maurizio presented the ETM methodology to the participants. Four sessions on RE in Jordan were dedicated to address important issues related to RE and Innovation in RE in Jordan. Moreover, more than 15 question on RE and Innovation in RE were dedicated to polling. At the end of the ETM, Prof. Fahmi Abu Al-Rub from JUST presented the report of the ETM on RE to Prof. Osamah Haddad, Dean of Research and Legal Representative at JUST, and to Eng. Mohammad Alamoush. The participants showed great interest in the ETM methodology and 95.0% indicated that they would recommend ETM methodology for such activities.
