Get on board NETKITE!

Applications for the first NETKITE Call are officially open. NETKITE Call is a Mediterranean business idea competition whose mission is is to unlock Mediterranean entrepreneurial potential. The NETKITE partnership is actively looking for young researchers and postgraduate students, with an innovative idea in the fields of agrofood, renewable energy, biotechnology, cultural heritage or innovation in public services. The competition is open to postgraduate students with a documented research experience, PhD students, junior researchers, research organizations staff or researchers at industrial labs of of the 4 NETKITE Mediterranean Partner countries, namely Tunisia, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, within the ENPI CBCMED eligible territories.

At the first stage, 50 ideas per MPC will be identified. Successively, the best ideas will be selected and will be so selected the 24 participants (6 per each MPC)  who will participate in a mobility scheme at the EU countries. They will also take part in a transnational training programme on entrepreneurship education.

final competition among the 24 selected participants will take place in Italy in November 2015 in order to select the winner.  The exact location will be announced on a later stage.

As a final output of the project and of the competition, 8 original ideas, 2 per Mediterranean Partners Countries (MPC) will be supported to form spin off companies.

To participate in the NETKITE call, you must register. In order to submit an idea, participants must fill in all mandatory fields (in english) and answer all questions within the relevant application form on the Competition Website.

Submission deadline is 30th October 2014.
