« Research and Entrepreneurship » a pilot scouting

netkite_graficoScouting the business of Ideas and recruitment of target groups are the first task coordinated by SUST in the project “NetKite”.

For this  reason SUST organized in January 29th, 2014 “Research and Entrepreneurship” an event that simulates the process of recruitment of target groups. On the pulse of his President Mrs. Emna Belaifa, SUST organized with Eco-Park of Borj Cedria a day to sensitize researchers and institutional issues related to the “Net Kite” and entrepreneurship in general. 

After the formal presentations, Mr Mohamed Nejib BEJAR Business developer of the project presented “Net Kite” with its objectives and its various phases. Thereafter  successive to the  forum  Mrs. Gharbi Douja  1st VP of CONNECT to present the Business climate in Tunisia, Mr Hamdi Ksiaa from BFPME Bank to present funding mechanisms, and Mr Khaldoun Cherif  from BIAT Bank to discuss Bankable Business Plan. At the end, Mr Ali Klabi, industrial, CEO Vitalait explained the importance of scientific research to industrial development. netkite_palco

Discussions with researchers were interesting. 13 projects ideas were collected among 104 present. Thereafter, and for 4 months, the projects leaders were followed with 6 training sessions to refine the business plan. At the end of trainings, one business plan has been submitted and two others are still being finalized.

The pilot has to present the project to institutional and build contacts with key partners for the success of the Net Kite project, but has also measure hesitations and objections that may have researchers to change their careers from research to entrepreneurship.
